a picture blog

Seems like Fall is around the corner.... or has maybe come.  It's warmer than we'd expected.  We're having warmer weather than Thunder Bay, Sioux Lookout, etc!  Surprising to us!  There's def. a coolness to the air and most days a sweater feels cozy, but there are also very warm afternoons.

Anyhow, today I'm not feeling very wordy and I don't want to bore you with our "normal" life!  But, I've uploaded LOTS of pictures, so keep going if you enjoy pictures!  If not, I apologize. The pictures are basically of the 2 little people who I spend most of my time with.... not necessarily of the scenery here in MF.   Maybe it's a blog for the grandparents.  =)

This is the front of our house:

and, here is that young biker a bit further out the driveway:

he found an old hose that he used to attach the wagon.  (and, yes, he's gone down the road like this already!)

Here is one of his other creations:

It's a car.  (I thought it was a boat and the board his oar because he uses it to push himself along, but he informed me that, No, mom!  it's a CAR!)

Here's the back of the house from way back at the end of "our property:"

The yard is our "jungle," the neigbour's dog is a lion.  We must be very careful when we explore back here.  Josiah built a boardwalk through the jungle, one safe place to walk.

A little princess we found lying in the jungle:

Reaching through the gates to the forbidden "other side:"

The princess got hold of the camera:

This is the view from the front of our house,  looking down Atihk Street.  This is where most of the other teachers live, also a very safe road for Josiah to bike down all by himself:

Contemplating his next building project:

Aha!!  Got it!

Roll the ball up the board and there it goes!!  (down, down to the ground)

Another idea:

Not sure what they were doing here... but, seriously.. WHO NEEDS a swing, sandbox, real toys to stay happy in the backyard?  Especially when there are scraps of wood, old tires, etc, to be found if you just keep your eyes open.

Yes, this is a glimpse of how our driveway may look if you stop in.  Never know what my 5-yr. old will find!

Pretending:

(maybe it has something to do with their mommy's growing tummy?)

Learning about shapes:

So cool!  I found these at Value Village before leaving T. Bay.  They start out really simple and get more advanced.  Kids love them!

Us:

I have so many of Elena right now!  She just seems to "pose," something I can't get my son to do very well...

Ah, finally a nice one of him too!  Love the blue sky too...

Can't forget the amazing seal we saw!  We were on a boat taxi to Moosonee last weekend and the driver saw this guy sunbathing, took the boat right over so we could get a closer look.  It was EXCITING!  (even to me)  It swam off shortly after.... lots of excited noises coming from my dear son.

and, that will be all for today!!  Phil IS in our lives too... this is just more of an "everyday" (except for the seal) photo blog.  Hopefully, it gives you more of a glimpse into our lives.

Oh yes, We have 4  black and white ultrasound pictures hanging on our fridge of little baby Weber #3!
The children weren't too thrilled about them... .maybe "it" just doesn't look quite like they picture their baby brother or sister?   Due date is confirmed at March 3rd.

Till next time!
